Min-seok Kang, an artist born in South Korea in 1980, has had a passion for expressing himself through painting since childhood. He studied art at Dong-A University, earning his Bachelor's degree in 2007 and his Master's degree in 2010. At the age of 30, he transitioned from telling stories of the city to stories within the city, using the form of cars as his narrative medium.

Over time, Kang's work evolved beyond merely capturing the external beauty of cars, developing a unique style that reflects elements of time, space, relationships, and culture, all integrated into his pieces.

Currently, Kang depicts the happiness pursued by the modern generation and the paths they carve out for themselves through distorted car forms. He employs techniques such as scraping paint with acrylic and squeegees, expressing artificial straight lines, speed, and temporal forms through embroidery, or gradually transforming into abstract works.

Since 2023, he has been focusing on diversifying his expressions through various media. He collects leftover paint pieces and films them, mimicking the shapes of objects and subjects of memory. He is also involved in sculpture, taking on new artistic challenges.

In exploring the representation of racing cars, Kang illustrates the flow of speed and time. These cars symbolize not just means of transportation but the journey of our lives. The cars in his works encapsulate the process of intense competition and self-discovery, expressing inner desires and passions through explosive colors and lines.
